2009 Easton SCN12BH Synergy Helmer Plus Review

2009 Easton SCN12BH Synergy Helmer Plus

Made with the traditional Brett Helmer features: shorter barrel, thinner handle, and decent endload for greater bat whip, distance, and power. Like most Easton's, it can be stiff and take a while to fully break in. These are nothing special when stock. When rolled and shaved they are a very good bat especially for the price you can find them at these days.

Note: When shaved to Batman's specs this bat will hit absolute bombs! There are other bats that we could have chosen to market this way also but we chose this bat for several reasons. First, the price they are available at is very reasonable and second this bat was built to be a power hittter's bat with the shorter barrel allowing for more bat whip. Lastly, being an Easton with very good durability, it will withstand being shaved very aggressively better than other types of bats. Combined with the extreme shave and endload it will amplify the power hitting capabilities to a totally different level. You will sacrifice some durability of course anytime you shave a bat to an extreme and the endload also will stress the bat more but the performance will be worth the trade off if you are looking for a great home run derby bat. I feel this bat will outhit any Ultra or senior league bat for distance when done to these specs.

Sweetspot: 8.2
Distance: 9.2
Durability: 9.7
